Since 1945, <b>Baskin-Robbins <\/b>has served over 1,000 flavors to more than 300 million guests annually at nearly 7,000 locations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">&#8211; The <b>Dairy Queen<\/b> soft serve formula dates back to 1938, when John Fremont \u201cGrandpa\u201d McCullough and his son Bradley convinced a friend to offer their new product at his Kankakee, Illinois ice cream store. More than 1,600 servings were sold in the first two hours. Today, the DQ is one of the largest fast food franchises in the world, with over 6,000 locations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">&#8211; Boyhood pals Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield took a $5 correspondence course from Penn State University\u2019s Creamery in 1977. One year later they renovated a Burlington, Vermont gas station and opened <b>Ben &amp; Jerry&rsquo;s<\/b>. Their first franchise appeared in 1981 and today, over 300 have been opened by socially conscious franchisees active in seeking to make a real difference in their communities.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">&#8211; <b>Dippin\u2019 Dots<\/b> is the brainchild of microbiologist Curt Jones, who applied the process of cryogenic encapsulation \u2014 super-cold freezing methods \u2014 to cream.
