Foot traffic is drastically decreasing which is leading businesses in the food and drink industry to invest in mobile ordering. Quick serve restaurants (QSR) are trying to push their customers to use their phones to order since it provides customers with much more convenience.<\/p>\n

In the article \u201cStarbucks\u2019 Mobile App: A winner in bridging the retail \/ digital divide\u201d its noted how \u201cIn 2017, McDonalds announced their mobile order app, joining the likes of Dunkin\u2019 Donuts, Chick-fil-A, Domino\u2019s, taco Bell, and Walmart in attempting to leapfrog Starbucks and their period of digital innovation.\u201d<\/p>\n

As Starbucks was the first to set an example, it wasn\u2019t long before other big chain restaurants, like McDonalds, decided to follow through and do the same.<\/p>\n
