\"starbucks<\/a>Starbucks has always been entwined in the music industry. Providing a platform for many new artist, the coffee shop chain has worked closely with the music industry.<\/p>\n

Attempting to revitalize the way consumers discover music Starbucks is partnering with Spotify to create a “music ecosystem” and of course reward loyal customers.<\/p>\n

The multi year partnership will bring together an exclusive music platform and 10 million\u00a0 My Starbucks Rewards users to create a digital environment.<\/p>\n

Expected to roll out this fall, seven thousand Starbucks locations in the US await the launch in phases followed by Canada and the UK.<\/p>\n

All US employees will receive premium subscriptions as part of the deal, which will help shape in-store music programming. Employee playlists will be available through the Starbucks app for streaming.<\/p>\n

Starbucks Loyalty members receive points for subscribing to a Spotify Premium account.<\/p>\n

Starbucks will promote subscriptions while Spotify endorses a section for Starbucks playlists on their popular music. All Spotify users will be able to stream Starbucks Playlists.<\/p>\n

Starbucks COO claims the partnership “[Will create] one of the most robust digital ecosystems of any retailer in the world.”<\/p>\n

Since 1994, music has been a highly promoted aspect of the company. From selections of music by a dedicated entertainment team until this new partnership, Starbucks aims a building a new platform for the industry.<\/p>\n
