To get familiar with franchising trends and industries poised for growth, Entrepreneur.com also ranks America’s top franchises annually, with the 2013 Franchise 500<\/a> representing the 34th year.\u00a0The post says, “The results …\u00a0confirm that franchising is finally on the upswing again after several rough years, and the top 10 franchises are leading the way.” Food-service designees include Subway, Denny’s Inc.,\u00a0McDonald’s and Pizza Hut Inc.<\/p>\n

A separate top 10 ranking designates the best new franchises<\/a>, a good way to see which way the winds are blowing, franchise-wise (apparently from the Arctic, since the top three are all in the frozen dessert category<\/a>). The fastest-growing franchises<\/a>\u00a0were topped by Subway, with Chester’s, Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches and Dunkin’ Donuts also named.<\/p>\n
