Taco Bell announced last week, one of the brands new locations in Chicago has applied for a liquor license.
Based in Irvine, California, the 6,500 unit chain is looking to increase with smaller urban venues.
The Chicago location will be the first urban prototype. Locations will be roughly have the size of normal 3,000 square-foot restaurants. Evidently new stores will not have drive thrus.
Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood will house the first in-line urban model, which is set to open later this year by a franchise operator.
The Quick Service Restaurant is tailoring new locations based on the urban community with the same great taco bell products.
