Here are three key pieces of advice for getting the best customer reviews.

1.     Customers are people too

Do not think of your customers as dollar signs, but as real people. Treat each customer with respect and award winning customer service and the positive reviews will just roll in. Going out of your way to make a customer happy, though may only add stress to your busy day, the payoff will be truly rewarding. Who knows, you might even make a new returning customer.

2.     Who are your loyal customers?

Who doesn’t love walking into their regular pizzeria and hearing the owner greet them by name? Everyone likes to feel special. Make your loyal customers feel appreciated. At the same time do not alienate your other customers (no one likes to feel left out). Sure, it’s not easy to remember everyone that comes in your door. But by going the extra mile, they might be a little more inclined to use your business at their next event, or recommend it to their coworkers.

3.     Be visible

As the owner of your business, customers like to see you around. If they have complaints or compliments they want to make them to the head of the whole operation. Be visible to your customers. If you cannot be there then make sure to have someone in your place. Having them voice their concern to someone in person reduces the possibility that they are going to take to the Internet. Once more, they may do so, but this time give a great review because of the way the situation was handled in person.
